Effective careers planning means exploring your options early. Our careers team are here to help. Whatever your age, course of study, plans or aspirations, the Careers Service is available to you. Professionally qualified careers advisers are available for consultation on career choice, further study options, presentation and other work place skills, jobsearch, applications/interview procedures and aptitude tests.
The Career Guidance Office contains a wide range of information on careers and further study options. Comprehensive information, internet access, computerised guidance programmes, video library etc., are all available to our students.

Career News – February 2017
The CAO application system closes at 5.15pm on February 1st.
The late application system will open in early March.
Both schemes have to be applied for through the CAO by March 1st, and the supporting documentation required for both has to be submitted by April 1st.
The route B deadline for submission of applications to UK colleges is March 24th these are mainly for art and performing arts courses.
MSAP (Mature Student Assessment Pathway)
The MSAP will be held in UCC on March 4th. The closing date for registering for the MSAP is February 5th. Registration is online through https://msap-ireland.acer.edu.au. You require a CAO application number in order to register for the MSAP.
A pre-test MSAP will be held here in CSN on Friday, February 17th. Please contact the Careers office to register for the pre-test.
Advanced entry to Institutes of Technology
For advanced entry (second year and beyond) to Institutes of Technology students mainly apply direct to the colleges. For a small number of colleges application is made through the CAO. For details on how to apply please contact the Career’s Office.
