Save A Life Event
Save A Life Event. Hosted by the Emergency Services course
Due to the risk of worsening weather and the involvement of many emergency services in our Save a Life day, we have taken the decision on safety grounds to postpone the day until Wednesday March 14th.
We're sorry if this causes any inconvenience but we feel it is the prudent course of action.
Save a life Day is almost upon us and we are very excited to try to make this day an interesting and important event to help spread knowledge and skills that may help Save a Life someday. The Emergency Services class have worked very hard to put this day together and we hope you will enjoy and support the day.
Classes are all timetabled for one hour each to facilitate a hands on first aid training and awareness session for each student in the college. In addition to the timetabled slots, we will have stands on the corridors from a range of organisations involved in voluntary emergency services and related areas such as organ donation, blood donation etc.
Also, Room 301 will be open for drop in individual health screenings including ECG, Blood pressure, etc. A sign up system will operate on the day.
The lecture theatre will hold on-going talks on mental health and suicide awareness talks from Cobh Red Cross and from Karen Underwood.
As a final treat, Karen will also do a short gig in the lecture theatre which we hope will end the day on a high note.
