Effective careers planning means exploring your options early. Our careers team are here to help. Whatever your age, course of study, plans or aspirations, the Careers Service is available to you. Professionally qualified careers advisers are available for consultation on career choice, further study options, presentation and other work place skills, jobsearch, applications/interview procedures and aptitude tests.
The Career Guidance Office contains a wide range of information on careers and further study options. Comprehensive information, internet access, computerised guidance programmes, video library etc., are all available to our students.

Career News for December
UCAS is the online application system for entry to UK University and College courses.
The deadline for applying for most UCAS courses, which are categorised as route ‘A ‘applications, is Tuesday, January 15th.
Route B course applications (mostly performing arts and, music courses) have an application deadline of March 24th.
If you wish to apply to UCAS through CSN please contact the Careers Service as soon as possible.
The CAO application system is currently open. Applications are submitted online through the CAO website www.cao.ie . Applications submitted by January 20th are at a reduced fee of 30 euro.
Please contact the Career’s office for advice and assistance, particularly if you are applying for College places through the Mature Student, DARE or HEAR entry routes/schemes.

- The Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin open day is being held on January 4th
- UL and Mary Immaculate College Limerick have a January open day on Saturday, January 12th
- IT Sligo will have an open day on January 15th.
